10 Offline Places Your
Domain Name Should Be
You've got a great domain name pointing to a web site that
is designed to sell. Now, make sure you promote that great
domain name offline too. Here are 10 places your domain name
should be prominently displayed:
- Feature your domain name prominently on your letterhead
and business cards.
- Put your domain name in the return address on your
company's envelopes..
- Feature your domain name prominently on your outgoing
invoices.
- If your employees wear uniforms, put your domain name on
them.
- Be sure your domain name appears on all your company
vehicles..
- Include your domain name on all promotional items you
give away—coffee mugs, T-shirts, key chains, magnets and so
on.
- Be sure to include your Web site address in all press
releases.
- Your domain name should appear prominently in your
advertising. Whether it's your Yellow Pages ad, your
newspaper ads, the ads you run at the cinema or even your
billboard ads should include your domain name...
- Your domain name should appear right next to your
toll-free number on the bottom of every page of your catalog
so customers have easy access to your online store.
- Anywhere you would put your logo, you should include
your domain name there as well.
If your current domain name is hard to remember or doesn't have the "punch"
you'd like, use the
Domain Twist feature to find the perfect complement.

One great thing about domain names is that the better hosting companies will allow you to point more than one domain name to your website.
For example, if you type in www.virtualimpax.com, you'll see my
company's web site. However, if you type in
www.virtualimpacts.com you'll see the exact same web site.
So if your current domain name leaves something to be
desired, pick up a new one and point it to your web site. Then, everywhere
you place your logo, include your domain name there as well! About The Author
